One Event, Two Organizations
Kevin Wheeler’s 2024 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb
Events
I am deeply touched and honored to be participating in the 2024 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. This event holds such profound significance as it allows us to pay tribute to the courageous FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice for the sake of others.
By climbing or walking the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center, I am not only honoring the memory of all the fallen heroes but also specifically remembering and honoring a selfless FDNY firefighter. This act of remembrance holds tremendous meaning as it symbolically completes their heroic mission to save lives, reminding us all of their unwavering bravery.
Together, as a united community of firefighters and supporters, we are driven by a shared mission to ensure that each of the 343 firefighters who lost their lives on that fateful day is duly honored. It is our duty to make sure that their sacrifice is never forgotten and to keep their memory alive.
To further support this cause, I am actively seeking donations for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. By contributing to this remarkable organization, we can provide much-needed support to the families and loved ones left behind by these brave firefighters. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a profound difference in the lives of those who have endured unimaginable loss.
I humbly ask for your generosity and support as I take part in this poignant event and endeavor to honor the selflessness and courage that these firefighters displayed. Together, let us ensure that their legacy lives on and that the world never forgets their sacrifice. Your donation can help make a lasting impact and bring comfort to those who have suffered so greatly.
During the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb I am also raising funds on behalf of the Gastroenterology Department at Phoenix Children's Hospital that truly needs our help. This department not only saves lives, but they also offer a glimmer of hope to families who are drowning in despair.
I had the privilege of witnessing the extraordinary dedication and compassion of these medical warriors. Their expertise is unparalleled, but it's their unwavering support that truly touched my soul. When my dear friend and her little one entered that hospital, they were enveloped by love, understanding, and reassurance.
Every doctor, nurse, and support staff member went above and beyond, walking alongside them in this dark and daunting journey. These advocates are real-life superheroes, shining a light in the darkest corners of these children's lives. They restore hope and mend broken hearts.
We cannot let this beacon of hope dim. It must continue to radiate warmth and healing to all those who desperately need it. Together, we can make a difference. Let us rally around this remarkable department and fuel their fire of compassion and care.
In a world that often feels cold and indifferent, let us be the driving force of change. Our acts of kindness can transform lives and bring solace to those in pain. Stand with me, stand with the Gastro Department at Phoenix Children's Hospital, and let us be the difference in the lives of these courageous children and their families.
I would like to express my utmost gratitude and appreciation to each and every person who has generously donated to support me as I participate in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. Your kindness and selflessness have touched my heart profoundly. Your contributions not only show your compassion for the fallen heroes of 9/11 but also help provide vital resources to their families and fellow first responders. Your support motivates me to climb each step with utmost determination and remembrance. Your generosity is a reminder of the strength and unity within our communities, and I am eternally grateful for your unwavering support. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for standing alongside me in honoring and remembering the brave individuals who sacrificed their lives on that fateful day. Your donation is a testament to the immense power of empathy and compassion, and I cannot thank you enough for your remarkable support.
